Dear Guests,

On behalf of The Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk, it is my pleasure to invite you to the 19th EAS Conference and 9th International Student Forum that will be held in Gdansk in May 2011. We are very pleased that the conference, organized in cooperation with the European Association for Music in Schools, has gained the status of the ISME European Regional Conference.

This will be the first time the EAS Conference takes place in Poland. We hope that the conference theme will encourage you to join us to discuss teaching and learning processes, particularly in the context of music in schools. We hope to share our knowledge and experience to understand the factors that have influence on this process.

We will be honored to welcome you to our dynamically developing Academy. We have started new specialities, for example Church Music, Jazz Music and Musical. The conditions in which the students can study here are already one of the best in Poland and Europe. You will also have a great opportunity to meet and talk about music education issues in our two modernized buildings as well as the new concert hall.

We hope you will enjoy our Conference and your stay in our beautiful city - Gdansk!
